Strongest Hints Yet Of Life On A Planet Called K2-18b — What To Know
A team of astronomers led by the University of Cambridge in the U.K. found the chemical fingerprints of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and/or dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) in the atmosphere of an exoplanet called K2-18b. DMS and DMDS are only produced on Earth by microbial life, such as marine phytoplankton.
