Two years ago, Gen Z earned an income of $9trillion, but this figure could skyrocket to a staggering $36trillion by 2030 and $74trillion by 2040, according to the new report.
With the high cost of living and the unstable job market has them strapped for cash, a recent report from Bank of America provides hope, predicting that Gen Z will in fact be the wealthiest generation in history within the next ten years.
Despite a difficult job market, the report found that Gen Z’s wage growth increased 8% year-over-year last month, “the most among all generations” and approximately “twice as high as the overall median.” Gen Z will also be the beneficiaries of the “Great Wealth Transfer,” meaning they will inherit money from previous generations.
