According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tennessee turned down an offer from the Giants. Per the report, the package would have included a third-round pick. It’s possible that the Giants could get a deal done to move up in the next couple of days, but they are expected to pick in the No. 3 slot. There, the Giants are widely expected to pick edge rusher Abdul Carter out of Penn State or receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter from Colorado, depending on who is on the board. The Giants have also been linked to Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, though that buzz has died down over the last couple of months.
The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are fielding trade inquiries for their early picks in the NFL draft, sources told ESPN's Peter Schrager. Although the Tennessee Titans are not entertaining offers for the first overall pick as of Tuesday morning, sources told Schrager that the Browns, who have the second pick, and the Giants, who pick third, have received trade calls over the past 48 hours -- and that neither team is outwardly rejecting those overtures. The expectation, sources told Schrager, is that those teams looking to trade up to the No. 2 or No. 3 pick are pursuing Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter, Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter or Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.
There won’t be any drama atop the 2025 NFL Draft. The Titans have locked in on Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick, NFL Network reported. This has long been the belief around the league, but it was confirmed Tuesday morning after Tennessee closed the door on dealing away the first selection. “After months of speculation, the consensus around the league is that the Titans will stay at No. 1 and pick, rather than trade, sources say. No surprise. Decision made,” Ian Rapoport tweeted. “There was real trade interest. But as one team said, ‘They never opened the door.’ All eyes on Cam Ward.” Miami’s star quarterback separated himself from Shedeur Sanders in the months after the college football season, as they were considered the top two quarterbacks in the draft.
